Consular service is the help and advice provided by the diplomatic agents of a country to citizens and non-citizens. The Embassy provides the following consular services:<\/p>

  1. Application for birth certificates.<\/li>
  2. Application\/renewal\/replacement of stolen passports.<\/li>
  3. Issuing Temporary Travelling Documents (TTDs).<\/li>
  4. Authentication of Zimbabwean documents.<\/li>
  5. Issuing of repatriation clearance letter for the repatriation of deceased.<\/li>
  6. Cancellation of passports.<\/li>
  7. Information on Trade and Investments.<\/li>
  8. Information on returning residents.<\/li><\/ol>

    Any other information pertaining to developments in Zimbabwe.<\/p>

    Which days are passports\/TTDs done at the Embassy?<\/strong><\/p>

    \u00a0<\/strong>All consular services are provided from Monday to Friday between 0830 to 1230 hours.<\/p>

    \u00a0<\/strong>Is the Embassy open on Saturdays?<\/strong><\/p>

    The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays for both Namibia and Zimbabwe.<\/p> <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

    Can I apply for an E-passport whilst in Namibia? <\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p> <\/div>\r\n

    1. The Embassy is yet to migrate to the E- Passport system.<\/li>
    2. You can initiate your passport application process as has been the case over the years.<\/li>
    3. Have fingerprints taken and documents authenticated.<\/li>
    4. After this process you send the completed application forms yourself to your relatives in Zimbabwe for submission, processing and collection on your behalf.<\/li><\/ol>

      Can I send someone to do the TTD\/passport application on my behalf?<\/strong><\/p>

      \u00a0<\/strong>All document applications are done in person.<\/p>

      Can I get my passport application fingerprints at the police station?<\/strong><\/p>

      Passport application fingerprints are only<\/u><\/strong> done at the Embassy.<\/p>

      Does the Embassy send my application on my behalf to Zimbabwe?<\/strong><\/p>

      Applicants are responsible for sending the completed application forms to Zimbabwe to any Civil Registry office of choice.<\/p>

      Can I receive my e-passport through the Embassy?<\/strong><\/p>

      When your e-passport is out in Zimbabwe, the person who collected it on your behalf will send it directly to you not through the Embassy.<\/p>

      What do I do when my passport is ready for collection in Zimbabwe?<\/strong><\/p>

      If your passport is still valid and your new passport is ready you bring the old passport to the Embassy for cancellation, then you scan the cancelled page to whoever is going to collect the passport on your behalf to enable them to collect the new passport.<\/p> <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

              How does the Embassy assist someone who is arrested in Namibia? <\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p> <\/div>\r\n

              Anyone who is arrested in Namibia is tried before the Namibian laws and the Embassy do not interfere with the Namibian justice system.<\/p>

              The Embassy, however, grants consular visits and help in all possible<\/u><\/strong> ways as may be requested by the inmate. Such assistance excludes financial support<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p> <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

              1. You download the ZRP fingerprint form 137 on www.zrp.gov.zw<\/a><\/li>
              2. Take your fingerprints forms to the nearest police station, and have your fingerprints taken.<\/li>
              3. Send the forms to CID Headquarters in Harare.<\/li>
              4. External police clearance costs USD75 dollars.<\/li>
              5. The forms are filled in duplicate.<\/li><\/ol> <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n
